Swallowing Diagnostic Imaging Experience

-FEES privileging at Riverside Regional Medical Center (RRMC), Newport News, VA

-FEES provider at RRMC for 7 years

-VFSS/MBSS provider for 12 years with acute care patients and outpatients

-SLP provider for dysphagia for 12 years at RRMC, a Trauma 2 hospital with a Comprehensive Stroke Certification (DNV)

-Critical care experience includes Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Oncology ICU, Critical Care Units

-Extensive experience evaluating and treating dysphagia in acute care units including neurosurgery, neurology, med-surg, general medical, ortho, hematology-oncology, CVT, surgical ICU, medical ICU, oncology ICU, and critical care units. 

-Extensive experience working with physician teams including ENT, GI, hospitalists, neurologists, palliative care, pulmonologists, ICU intensivists, , neurosurgeons, neurointerventionists, and trauma surgeons.

-Extensive experience with tracheostomies including Passy Muir speaking valve and acute and chronic laryngectomies.

-Extensive experience working with patients requiring high flow oxygen, regular flow oxygen, vent dependent, and intermittent CPAP/bipap

-VFSS REST (Robust esophageal screening test)  certification
